The class was started in February 2016 with the intention of getting more people into Irish dancing, increasing the ceili scene around Belfast, creating a great social connection for people, getting fitter and having fun.
The first class started on Thursday 4th February 2016 in the Morton Community Centre with five attendees and since then has grown from strength to strength.
Classes are taken by Donna Muldoon TCRG and Ethan Loughrey TCRG, who both have danced since they were about 3 years old. Donna learnt to dance and competed for the O’Kane School of Irish Dancing, while Ethan competed for the Groogan O’Doherty School of Irish Dancing.

Moving from Kent to Newcastle Co Down in a few months. Now a grandmother would love to learn to dance but quite dyspraxia and trip over. Could you help a beginner like me. I will try to get fit. Just say if this doesn’t fit in with you. Many thanks Geraldine Davies
